Problème de résolution écran Benq 19'' plat

Bonjour,

J'ai un écran plat BENQ FP931 TFT analog
J'ai récemment installé Ubuntu 5.10 sur mon ordi mais la résolution laisse vraiment à désirer (640X480) et impossible de la changer dans Système -> Préférences -> Résolution de l'écran.

Je me suis donc dis que je devrait changer qqch dans xorg.conf mais, n'étant pas un grand connaisseur, je ne sais pas quoi changer.

tu peut essayer avce ça : http://wiki.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/ati?s=drivers+ati

Le réglage du xorg.conf reste trés subtil, sinon il faut lancer un live cd et récupérer le xorg.conf

Bon courage, j'ai toujours eu du mal avec cette installation, mais je l'ai pas sous la main pour te donner ma config.

je penses que les fréquences de balayage de ton écran manquent dans la section moniteur de ton xorg.conf.
La carte graphique en a besoin pour calculer les différentes résolutions qu'il peut supporter.

Dans mon xorg.conf j'ai :

Tu peux éventuellement modifier les valeurs max mais pas dépasser 75.
