SCITE : configuration

Hello,

I used till know SCITE to edit various file without particular purposes (always windows context)

Problems
Today I have several problems (see later) which are traduce by ***spam*** needs :
1- change back color of selection
2- change color of found text (search-raplace)
3- read SQL utf-8 and show as utf-8 or 1252 and alter in utf-8 code
4- read 1252 SQL and alter

The files are either SQL or php with strings to display into context page 1252 or utf-8, and the same php files containt variables which can be displayed with the two charactersets

for this I tried :

1- to change into SciteGlobalProperties the parameter : selection.back to #FF99FF - no effect

I search to the meaning of each parameter, I could nor find a list of parameter and usage.

2- to introduce the right commentatary to indicate that the file code (sql) is utf-8

3- to write two news . properties files but I could not find how to make them apperar into SCITE menus

So I Have missed something into documentation

Hi,

For number 1, create or open the user option file ("Open user options file"), paste this "selection.back=#FF99FF" and save. You should now have your background selection color changed.

For background color of found text, never seen such option.It is possible to change text style within lua scripts since I used it for a parser. But it's really specific.

To add some .properties, it's in global options file, "menu.language=". Follow the other lines for an example but it something like <MenuItem>|<propsfilename without extension>|<hotkey>|. It is safier to copy/paste/change into your user options file.

Have no idea for encoding. Sorry.
